The Cause - Com. - Lumis

When you're a little corsair, prowling the space lanes on profiteering commissions, the first rule of getting a treasure chest is "Pics or it didn't happen." So our little crew here is getting pics with a crate of bullion 'liberated' abroad. YARR TREASURE CHEST!

This pic is my first full-background, full-colour, full-everything, and is also my first time using coloured pencils for a pic. I used a little of everything, experimenting with the interplay of mediums. There's copic markers, prismacolor pencilcrayon, staedtler pencils, pilot inks, and papermate ballpoint in here. There are of course a few mistakes, many of which owe to my simply not having a ton of practice with perspective.

It's unfortunate that the metallic pencils don't get to show via digital means, but I do like that I didn't have to dink with anything digital after scanning, save to mess with saturation and such to try to get the colours to pop as much as they do on the original. Of course I can't, but this'll have to do.
